Hereby inform you that on 17th March 2025, from 10:30 a.m. due to a protocol event the Parliament building is not open for visitors.
Visiting the Holy Crown
Due to national holiday, on 15th March 2025 there will be an open day in the House of Parliament. Visitors will have the chance to get a glimpse of the Grand Hall, the Dome Hall and the Holy Crown from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Preliminary registration is not required, the admission is free for all visitors. Along of expected great attendance, long queueing up is probable.
A security check is required prior to entering the House of Parliament. Visitors must not enter the building with large bags, packages or objects capable of causing personal injury, such as pocket knives, knives, gas spray etc.
During the open day from - 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. - regular visits led by trained guide are also available. These groups depart from the Visitor Centre. Tickets are available online at www.jegymester.hu/parlament.
Due to national holiday "One thousand years of Hungarian legislation" permanent exhibition in the Visitor Centre can be visited from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The In memoriam 25th October 1956 - memorial and exhibition on the Kossuth Square is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the final placement of the Hungarian Holy Crown and the Coronation Regalia, a photo exhibition opened in Lapidarium on the Kossuth Square, which can be visited free of charge between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

The 45-minute guided tour of the Parliament building is available with an audioguide or a professional tour guide in Hungarian, English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. Our other guided tours exclusively with an audioguide are available in Russian, Polish, Slovakian, Croatian, Hebrew, Romanian, Serbian, Ukrainian, Korean, Portuguese, Arabic, Slovenian, Czech, Chinese, Japanese, Bulgarian, Turkish, Dutch, Greek and Vietnamese.
During the mixed audioguided tours, after entering the visitors can choose among the above-mentioned languages and select the audio in the desired language on the spot.
Children under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult.
For visitors under the age of 6 visiting the Parliament is free, so those who arriving with child under the age of 6 can claim family tickets in writing to the email address tourist.office@parlament.hu.
On this website individual visitors are able to buy tickets for visiting the Hungarian Parliament. More than seven hundred thousand visitors take the official tour of the House of Parliament – one of the most important symbols of Hungary and Hungarian democracy – every year. During the 45-minute guided tour visitors can view the Main Staircase, the Dome Hall as well as the chamber and the lounge of the Chamber of Peers, while they are also familiarised with the history of the building, its architecture and the works of art it houses.
Visually and physically impaired visitors can also start the group tour of
the House of Parliament from this handicapped-accessible complex, where the
ticket office is also located.
In order to ensure smooth access, we kindly request that visitors in
wheelchairs inform our staff about their arrival in advance by e-mail

.
Visitors treated with radioactive isotopes for a curative purpose must
provide us with an official hospital discharge summary issued by the given
medical institution confirming the administering of the treatment. The
summary must contain the following data: the type and name of the
radioactive substance used, the dates of its administering, and a
confirmation that the person who has been given the treatment is permitted
to attend public events.
If a visitor is unable to provide the above document, the Parliamentary
Guard has the right to deny his or her admission.
